- RYOKURYUU VILLAGE (Chapter 99.1, the whole damn thing)

Here's the chapter.

THE GIST: The memory opens on a young Jae-ha trying to escape his village by taking to the sky. He's caught by an adult with the same ability and that same green hair, and put in chains. Jae-ha then asks said adult (Garou) when he's going to die, and they get into the dragon warriors' short lifespan as well as their clash of perspectives-- Jae-ha wants to be free of the village, whereas Garou thinks there's nowhere outside of it that would accept them at all.

Later, Jae-ha wakes up to Garou beating the ever-loving shit out of him. After the beating, Jae-ha admits that seeing Garou such a mess hurts his heart, even though he hates him. Jae-ha then is transferred the rest of the power that Garou has been holding on to, and with it is able to break his chains and overpower Garou. Jae-ha says that Garou is pitiful, but nonetheless offers him a hand and says they should escape the village together. The villagers heard them, however, and threaten to shoot Jae-ha if he tries to escape. Garou suddenly throws himself at them, screaming, using the last of his strength to give Jae-ha the opening to escape. All the while denying he cares, even though he's crying. Jae-ha sees right through him, but takes the opportunity to get out while he can.

NOTES: While the chapter is from Garou's perspective, the memory isn't! Any internal struggle of Garou's or scenes where Jae-ha isn't present aren't in the broadcast. But I love the whole chapter so I'm tossing the whole thing your ways for full context and getting to see baby Jae-ha with his lil dragon foot. ALSO HIS NAME IS REDACTED

- We Apologize For Our Incompetence (Chapter 105.5, the whole thing.)

here's the chapter.

THE GIST: THE FOUR DRAGONS HAVE TO COOK FOR THEMSELVES TODAY! Shuten tries to convince everyone to just have grilled fish for dinner, clearly trying to avoid disaster, but pretty much immediately the squirrel falls into the river and there's a rescue conga line. Shuten RESCUES HIS FRUSTRATING LITTLE BROTHERS and then a bear appears. The bear charges Zeno, and Shuten dives in the way to protect his fluffy brother with his body. He then wakes up covered in little brothers. They show him the dinner they made while he was out cold, fuss over him and tell him to stop trying to handle everything by himself. He accepts his scolding... and then realizes the tent is on fire. They all get thoroughly scolded for it when the rest of the party returns.

NOTES: NAMES ARE REDACTED but titles are not! Anything ending in -ryuu flies, basically. Similarly, the old man jokes at Zeno aren't strictly understandable but you get the general idea that Jae-ha is teasing him.
